Open Water Scuba Course

Our PADI Open Water Scuba Diver course provides you with the skills and certification necessary to dive anywhere in the world, without supervision!

Our highly qualified PADI certified instructors are passionate divers and pride themselves on providing high quality training to those looking to take their diving to the next level.

This multi-day course involves a theory component, a safe confined "dive" session and 4 open water dives.

The theory can be completed using either PADI e-Learning, PADI Open Water App (available on iOS and Android devices), with old school text book study, or join us in our classroom at the marina.

The in water, practical part of the courses are run regularly on weekends and weekdays. We can be flexible with course times but most people choose a part-time format over consecutive weekends. However, full-time over 2 consecutive days and evening classes can also be arranged - please contact us for info.

Itinerary

Theory: Complete theory component via PADI E-Learning, via the PADI Open Water App or contact us for shop sessions and text book information.

Session 1: The fun begins in a safe confined "dive" environment (where you can stand, such as a pool or beach) where you'll learn the scuba skills and orientation of scuba diving. We'll take you through the gear, what to choose/not to choose and what is right for you. Approx. 4hrs.

Session 2: Jump aboard our awesome 'MV Kraken', our dive boat for your first open water dives up-to 12m in the Great Sandy Marine Park. We'll conduct some skill assessments, but also have time to enjoy the adventure.

Session 3: We're back on the 'Kraken' for dives 3 and 4 at the Great Sandy Marine Park up-to 18m. You will learn some more skills on dive 3, but dive 4 is all fun and practicing your own dive plan. Then we return to the marina to complete some paperwork then you're officially a certified PADI Open Water Diver!
